You’ve probably seen one of these purses in a bright hue, slung casually around some put-together looking gal.
They’ve caught-on enormously well with fashion bloggers, who regularly post pictures of looks that include one of the bags.
The bags are from the Cambridge Satchel Company in Oxford, U.K. The company was actually started by a mother-daughter team. The mother originally thought the classic bags would catch on with school kids.
Though, since its creation in 2008, the company has gone from selling three bags a week to 1,500 a week— and this is definitely not just due to eager school children.
When placing your order, you can choose the size that best suits your needs— 11” for a purse able to hold the essentials, all the way up to 15”, which holds a laptop perfectly.
My favorites are the neon satchels, which come in neon yellow, green, orange and pink.
